2. Wear Sunblock
Sunscreen

photoaging. Over time, it causes skin blemishes like liver spots and
freckles. Therefore, applying sunscreen, especially on children, is
vital.

We
all know the countless benefits of drinking H20. But what you may not

4. Get Some Shut-Eye
Sleep
is essential to help fight aging, but, did you know your sleep position
also has an effect on your skin? Sleeping on the same side every night
will cause you to form more wrinkles on that side of your face. Tip: Try
sleeping on your back; it will relieve pressure from your face, helping
it to relax, while also preventing you from squishing it against the pillow.

5. Makeup Free’s the Way to Be
Lay
off the foundation and powdered makeup; it is proven that applying
makeup and forgetting to remove your makeup will cause you wrinkles.
Wondering why? You tend to stretch your skin when applying makeup
(especially eyeliner) which eventually leads to the formation of new wrinkles.
When you forget to clean your face and remove your makeup, you are
allowing the days bacteria to seep directly into your pores. This
leading to the accumulation of fine lines and wrinkles. Tip: Lack of
makeup helps maintain your skins hydration. Try going a few days a week without wearing any makeup.
6. Apply Moisturizer with the Back of your Hands
If
you apply moisturizer with your fingers you are irritating your skin
and creating new signs of aging. Using the back of your hand to apply
your moisturizer helps avoid any movements (stretching) that can age your face.
7. Red Wine
A
little vino can go a long way. Red wine has the anti-aging compound
resveratrol. Believe it or not, red wine is better for you than grape
juice. According to WebMD,
“Antioxidants sop up damaging free radicals that play a role in aging
and age-related diseases. There is a much higher concentration of
antioxidants called polyphenols, including resveratrol, in wine compared to grape juice.”
Red wine also helps reduce the risk of pre-cancerous skin lesions,
lower your chances of diabetes and benefits arterial functions in your
body .
8. Vitamin A
Eat
foods high in Vitamin A. According to Beauty Editor, “Vitamin A is a
key nutrient for building collagen and repairing skin tissues.” It helps
neutralize the damaging effects of oxidation, reduces signs of sun damage and works to reduce fine lines and wrinkles. You can take a Vitamin A supplement, or get it from eggs, carrots and liver. Tip: Use Vitamin A to help eliminate the circles under your eyes.
9. Don’t Forget your Chest and your Neck
Next time you are going through your skincare routine remember to include your chest and your neck. The skin on our neck
and chest is just as delicate as the skin on our face. We are
constantly moving our neck, stretching it in different directions and
creating wrinkles without even knowing it. Make sure you are applying
your daily moisturizer, sunscreen and anti-aging products.
10. Eat More Fat
Believe it or not, adding more fat to your diet will help you fight the signs of aging. Fat helps your body absorb vitamins and antioxidants. Good fats that will help fight the signs of aging include olive oil, coconut oil and avocado oil.
11. Try a Facial Exercise
It
may sound funny, but try puffing your cheeks and blowing the air out
through your pouted lips. Facial exercises are a great way to help fight
the signs of aging. Similar to yoga, facial exercises help move your
muscles and tighten up their appearance. According to BYRDIE,
the “Forehead Smoother” is a great way to prevent wrinkles from
occurring on your forehead. Just make a fist with both hands and place
the middle and index finger knuckles in the center of your forehead.
Now, apply pressure with your fists and slowly slide them out to each
side. End this exercise by gently pressing your knuckles into your
temples.
12. Apply Chamomile Tea to Your Face
Chamomile tea
reduces swelling due to its anti-inflammatory properties. It helps
restore dehydrated and damaged skin. Soak a teabag in a glass of cold water then apply the bag over your eyes. Or, buy the oil extract of chamomile tea and incorporate it in your skin care routine.
13. Pineapple
Pineapples are
known to keep your skin hydrated; they help prevent wrinkles and fine
lines from occurring. They are loaded with antioxidants, vitamins and
minerals that help cleanse your skin and treat acne.
Pineapples consist of bromelain, a composition of enzymes that helps
reduce swelling on the skin. You can apply pineapple directly to your
skin or eat it daily.

14. Lose the Contacts
A
contact lens itself does not contribute to the formation of wrinkles,
but the application process is what causes the damage. Although everyone
has their own way of inserting contact lenses, it is common that everyone lifts up or pulls down on the skin surrounding their eyes. The motion of tugging at the sensitive skin
surrounding your eyes is what causes fine lines and wrinkles to form.
(Tip: When applying your contact lenses avoid lifting your eyebrows.
This can cause wrinkles in your forehead).
15. Stop Slouching
The
act of slouching includes lengthening and flexing your neck, a
condition common to those stuck behind a desk all day. This can cause
your skin to stretch eventually leading to wrinkles. Fox News
explains, “Practice good posture by checking it throughout the day:
ear, shoulder, and hip should form a straight line when seated.”
